The Compassion Experience Returns!

The Compassion Experience Returns!

The COVID-19 pandemic meant we had to temporarily pause the Compassion Experience. But it’s back for 2022!

Meet Patience from Uganda

The Compassion Experience is an immersive 3D story exhibit, providing an insight into Patience’s story, and how Compassion’s programme in partnership with the local church, supported her.

Orphaned at just 12 years old and later forced into child slavery, the challenges of poverty threatened to steal Patience’s dreams. But God had other plans for her

Hear Patience share her story

Using an iPod and headphones, you’ll hear from Patience first-hand as she shares her experience, and you’ll see some of the realities still faced by children growing up in poverty.

What others are saying about visiting the Compassion Experience:

“Seeing Patience grow into what she’s doing now and the impact she’s having on the community is definitely incredible.”

“It speaks of a journey of hope from really difficult emotional circumstances to suddenly you’re walking through, and there’s a child who has a changed life, a chance again.”

“I would describe the Compassion Experience as insightful.”

“It was amazing to see the beginning of the story that was so heart-breaking, for it to end with something that was so full of hope.”

A little about the Compassion Experience

Since it opened in June 2017, we’ve welcomed more than 26,000 visitors at 68 churches and events. It’s also visited numerous schools, and more than 5,600 school children have been able to get an insight into the challenges faced by those living in poverty.

Children learning through the Compassion Experience

We’re hugely grateful to all our volunteers and the team at Brewco, who make the Compassion Experience possible.

We’re currently looking for more volunteers to help us at the Compassion Experience at events all over the country.

I’d love to volunteer. Tell me more!

So far, more than 2,100 Compassion Experience visitors have been inspired to sponsor a child – could you join them?
